The wxPython toolkit provides many different widgets, including the basic controls that are the topic of this chapter. We'll describe the wxPython starter kit, including static text, editable text, buttons, spinners, sliders, checkboxes, radio buttons, choosers, list boxes, combo boxes, and gauges. For each widget, we'll provide a brief example of how to use it, followed by a description of the relevant parts of the wxPython API.
